The all-new 2018 Honda Accord has been awarded the Canadian Car of the Year award presented by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
“We’re honoured and humbled to receive this recognition from a group of respected automotive journalists in Canada,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada. “We’re both proud and thankful for all of our associates who supported the production and development of this vehicle and for our passionate customers who have supported the Accord for the past forty years.”
Consideration for the 2018 AJAC Canadian Car of the Year Awards occurs as vehicles are tested throughout the year on a variety of road conditions by some of Canada’s notable automotive journalists from across the country.
The all-new 2018 Honda Accord embodies an athletic design that is both sophisticated and distinctive. It has been completely redesigned from the ground-up to reveal a lighter and more rigid body structure. Riveting performance is achieved through the drivetrain options, including two all-new, high-torque VTEC® Turbo engines. The Accord also holds the world’s first 10-speed automatic transmission for a front-drive car as well as a new generation of Honda’s two-motor hybrid technology.
