Marv Jones

Twenty years ago Marv Jones sponsored Karina LeBlanc to go to her first summer games, when she was just 14-years old. Now at the age of 35, Marv Jones Honda still sponsors her with a car whenever she is town with the national team. Currently she is gearing up with her Canadian teammates for this summer’s 2015 Women’s World Cup of Soccer, hosted at home here in Canada. Karina is the team’s goalkeeper and a tremendous leader on and off the field.

Karina has stated that playing at home will be an honour and dream come true, citing the home crowd as a crucial element for inspiration and extra-motivation to have success at the 2015 Women’s World Cup. Through multiple Olympic and World Cup experiences, including an Olympic Bronze medal, Marv Jones has helped Karina get to where she needs to be with the Canadian National Soccer Team. In addition to being Canada’s goalkeeper, Karina is also a UNICEF ambassador.

Marv Jones Honda would like to wish Karina LeBlanc of Maple Ridge, BC and Team Canada good luck and much success at this summer’s 2015 Women’s World Cup of Soccer. We will be cheering loud!
